Below is what Grandma’s House offers your child while at our facility. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or suggestions you may have.
Once again, thank you very much for considering our center to serve your childcare needs.
Who are we? Grandma’s House participates in a variety of educational activities. We serve healthy meals and snacks, and enjoy playing indoors and outdoors, with toddlers and preschoolers, in a safe, nurturing environment. Through their dedication and support, our staff helps all children succeed. Infants have an indoor area to play and learn.
What does Grandma’s House offer your child? Grandma’s House provides children with activities that help them grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically. Grandma’s House’ staff recognizes that, as parents, you are the first and most important teachers of your children. We at Grandma’s House welcome your involvement in activities, and will work as partners with you to help your child progress. Our facility offers your child love, acceptance, understanding, and the opportunity to learn and to experience success. Grandma’s House’ children socialize with others, solve problems, and have other experiences that help them become self-confident. The children also improve their listening and verbal skills through our lesson plans. The children spend time in stimulating settings where they form good habits, enjoy playing with toys and working on tasks with classmates. Your child will leave Grandma’s House more prepared for school, and be excited about learning and ready to succeed.
What is your child’s routine like at Grandma’s House? When the children arrive at the center, their care providers greet them warmly. They put whatever they have brought from home in their cubby. Classroom time includes many different activities. We have story time, music, academics/center time and a craft. During free play time children may choose from art, playing with blocks or table toys, science activities, dancing to music, looking at books, or pretend housekeeping.
Each day, the children have time to work in a small group with other children and to play outdoors on safe, age appropriate playground equipment. At breakfast and lunch time, children receive nutritious meals. All of the children are taught to wash their hands before and after meals, and are encouraged to develop good personal hygiene and health habits. The children also receive two healthy snacks throughout the day.
